Next up on Bank Holiday Friday on the 1st of May for Bomb Drop!'s third detonation we are overwhelmed to be presenting an awesome lineup of No Fakin' DJs and Peter Parker, Mr. Benn, Diss Miss & Sarah B, Slackson and the Bomb Drop residents, Barry Guffy and DJ aSiNe.
The NO FAKIN DJs (Chibuku), aka KWINZOLA (Friends & Family), FRED (6ixtoys) & DJ ILLSON (45 Midgets: Fat City) combine 4 turntables and a deep rooted Hip Hop sensibility to create a semi-live/DJ show like no other. And while Hip-Hop is the anchor, a phenomenal variety of music gets in on the act, seamlessly blended and layered with live instruments, samplers, drum machines and more.
MR BENN has blasted his way into the hearts, minds, and record boxes of the more discerning DJs around the globe. His unmistakable blend of skankin' reggae grooves, married with the chunkiest of hip hop beats makes for dancehall, dance floor chaos whenever his beats are dropped.
DISS MISS & SARAH B are part of DUTTY GIRL who are a crew from Bristol comprising of a diverse range of DJs, MCs and Producers; Crossing a multitude of genres from Hip Hop, Dancehall, Soul and Funk to Grime, Drum n Bass and Dubstep.
SLACKSON's background in music started in the early days of house music, when he started DJ’ing and promoting nights on the south coast, nowadays you will mainly find him spinning an eclectic mix of funk, soul, jazz, breaks and hip-hop with a healthy sprinkling of the finest house music around. Slackson has remixed James Brown, worked with Phil Asher, Rocky from Rocky and Diesel and even Tom Jones! Always up for the party you can guarantee a night of dancefloor dizziness.
